The Fairview Clayton Park area is located along the Bedford Highway and east towards Bayer's Lake. Fairview Clayton Park Puns from the Fairview Overpass and up to the former town of Bedford. The area is part of traditional Halifax, and is known for its largely suburban environment and bedroom community for the city.
Fairview Clayton Park is the newest area of Halifax, with aggressive development over the past 20 years. With apartment buildings and houses continually being constructed, the average age of rental units is quite low. Rental options are plentiful, as thousands of rental units exist in the area, mostly comprised of high rise apartment buildings and houses for rent.
Aside from the new construction, another benefit is that the area enjoys significantly lower rental rates than that of comparable accommodations in the Halifax core. Another additional perk is new roads and an extensive shopping and restaurants nearby, given Bayer's Lake Business Park's close proximity.
In the middle of the Fairview area is Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU), which brings further students and staff into the area. Many MSVU students enjoy the ability to live affordability in apartments close to their school, while also taking advantage of efficient public transportation into Halifax.
