Have you lived here? Write a Review! Its hit and miss, I mean it's located close enough to the mall to be nice I admit. But the heat oh lord the heat is an issue, I am someone with a fairly high body temp so not being able to manually control the heat is a Nightmare. During the coldest days I can't leave the windows open for air and I wakeup sweating and overheated feeling like I have a heat beam on me. The office tends to be rarely inhabited so discussing problems can be an issue. People refuse to use the garbage chute properly and it can vary from noisy to quiet. I only live here due to needing a place for a year. That's it. The followings are the problems with this building: - Noisy, near school - Free laundry: because it is free, it is always busy and dirty. some people just put a single cloth for wash - the ventilation system is not working - The Athens on the roof are increasing the risk of getting cancer - not the responsible manager. This building needs lots of renovations. It suffer from bed bug and the heat system is not reliable. There is a bad smell in front of elevators related to the trash bins. Never choose this building unless you are refuge or bad credit. Literally the only draw to this location whatsoever is the 15% discount available to persons of qualifying employment which doesn't expire. As the other review suggested, I too can attest to just how atrocious the maintenance is in this building. It took months to get someone in to look at and soon thereafter fix an issue with two of my windows. Hot water availability has been shoddy at best since they did work to "upgrade" the risers, and the washers/dryers on each floor don't even work as good as others I've used elsewhere which are a decade old--- not to mention they've had shortcut fixes done on them to "resolve" drying issues by simply increasing the cycle time for some dryers from 64 minutes to 99 minutes (Yes, you read that right-- 99 minutes to "dry" clothes). The worst maintenance service I've ever seen. It took them more than 4 weeks to fix a simple plumbing issue in my apartment. Nobody came to see my apartment for first two weeks. And for solution, I'm still waiting. I think either I should leave this apartment or I should fix it on my own.
