Have you lived here? Write a Review! DO NOT move in to this building. Not only they have bed bugs, the building manager Peter is very not responsible . I have never seen anyone that mean ever. I have live there over 1 year but still don't have my buzz code fixed even though I have mentioned 30 times. He won't return your calls or emails you can only reach him by text. And he refused to refund my deposit and my friend's deposit in another unit even though he promise he will give it to us next time. But it has been months, he is still "too busy to write the cheque". The building is so old, and only have 2 washer and dryer. And the walls are thin and the negbours are very noisy. The property manager, Chris, is great. He was quick to solve any issues I had. The owner, Peter, is another story. He deals with the finances, and has not returned my damage deposit. The apartment was spotless, and he keeps saying that it's on the way, he'll look into it, etc. but it's been months and I still don't have it. The location was wonderful, but the building is old, and there are mice and silverfish. The heat works well so I was never cold in the winter, but there's no air conditioning and the summers are unbearable. I currently live here in a two bedroom. the apartments were all (?) recently renovated and i love mine. the landlord/super/staff have all been great and responsive to my needs and come within the day if i call about something. i saw one mouse and they were over with people and poison and steel wool and foam in no time. pipe was making a noise and they were right over. whoever they get for maintenance are all so friendly and helpful. my only gripes besides regular apartment noise is that its SOOO HOT. its the kind of apartments that are sweltering in the summer. i.e. i might pass out and have to leave the apartment where its colder outside some how kind of hot lol but thats no the company/landlord/super's fault, its structural. i could get an air conditioner but i don't want to jack up my power bill so ill live with it :P and theres only two washers and two dryers and all are temperamental lol but again, nothing major and can be solved by a laundromat. 4/5, worth the rent. great place to live, steps away from ALL the buses and HSC, etc and generally quiet save for regular apartment noise and partiers. nothing excessive. Overpriced, under maintained and very noisy, but the location is great. Close to everything but the building isn't very well taken care of, thin walls, thin floors and gaps so big between the windows you have to stuff them full of rags to keep the heat in during the colder months. Would probably have a 4 star if it was $800/month and not $1,000. Great location, but this building hasn't been updated in decades, there is still shag carpeting in some of the units. For similar money you can get yourself into a brand new building 5 minutes away. Also very thing walls and lots of noise if your neighbors so much as walk around above you. Not a bad place overall but its overpriced for what you get, especially in the current rental market.
