Let me be clear, here. The LANDLORD and his wife at this building are AMAZING. The property owner with Symcor is a jerk. So much so that after moving out I had to block his number to stop him from serial calling me. I paid rent on time every month, never once complained in over 2 years of renting there, had zero complaints against me, etc. etc. The landlord and his wife are really lovely people. The property manager is intolerable at best. Sadly, because of his behaviour I wouldn’t recommend renting from Symcor, period, in Halifax/Bedford/etc. chiefly because of this guy. He has a quick temper, will call you repeatedly if he thinks you are in the wrong, and will hang up on you if you calmly explain reality to him. He screamed at me for no good reason, referred to me as "people like you" (lesbians, maybe? or perhaps responsible adults? Not sure what he meant by "people like you") and I had to put stop payments on my cheques to make sure he did not proceed with cashing them after I legally moved out, that’s how shady he is. He won't hesitate to bully you, yell at you, and then hang up on you when you don't respond how he wants you to. It's not worth it, sadly, no matter how wonderful the landlord and his wife are, at this building.
